Most of the loops I have serve as rhythmic inspiration. Having lots of folders to zoom in and out from for locating samples is super helpful to find sounds you wouldn’t think of first.ĭAW Sync as a plugin is a must. I’ve linked hundreds of thousands of samples, mostly loops, organized in folders by genre and instrument (you can link as many macro or micro folders as you want that you can then select from to find similar samples). I keep foley separate from musical and drum samples and loops but there's overlap when searching for something.Īlready own it. So if you're a sample pack creator it could be a good way to find license violations.Īmalgamated search through multiple libraries has been something I wanted from the beginning. It found some source samples from as far back as 2005 in current packs. There is a lot of sloppy license tracking (or perhaps intentional), with a lot of samples coming from Vengeance (who also stole samples in the past so perhaps it is fair turnaround). The entertainment value can be high if you have a lot of commercial sample packs. You can create a symbolic link (to save space). You can hide them when browsing in Sononym. The options as to what to do with duplicates is great. It's already better than any other audio sample dupe finder I've tried. ![]() ![]() It sometimes detects deeply multisampled/round robin hits as duplicates so don't scan those types of samples unless you're willing to mass-edit the outcome (you can just select all you want and bulk change it). The new Duplicate Finder is great since it doesn't just look for exact duplicates, but analyzes other factors so it can overcome resampling and bit depth changes. ![]()
